LOCAL ACCOMMODATIONS:
Some of you fine folks may not wish to rough it in the field and camp. If that is the case, check out the listings below of the fine local hotels that are available. Take note that the vast majority of hotels are located off Exit 125, Interstate 40, which puts you exactly 10 miles, or 20 minutes, from the field. There are a ton of restaurants and shopping areas at this exit. These are just a few of the local listings - and they are not in any particular order of preference.
Camping Information and Rules
For those who want to be close to the action at all times, we have areas designated for camping. We encourage camping, but it will be primitive type (no showers or electricity). This is not an excuse to act primitive in the camping areas. There are additional rules regarding camping that must be followed for safety and an enjoyable experience.
This is a family field and event, so no PROFANITY please. We expect everyone to act in an appropriate manner. Remember, families with their children are present, and we are all here to have a good time.
Drinking of Alcohol will not be allowed anywhere on the field or the public areas. Any types of illegal drugs are forbidden. If you become intoxicated, or are found using drugs of any kind, you will be arrested by the local authorities. Impaired players will be expelled from the game.
Other prohibited items include knives, bayonets, firearms, laser sights, swastikas, crossbows, slingshots, BB guns, airsoft guns, air horns, fireworks (except approved smoke grenades), unbreakable tripwires (such as piano wire), or shields of any kind are allowed on the field of play. Any device (such as an Allen wrench) that can be used to adjust the velocity of a marker is strictly prohibited on the field of play. NO BRIGHT YELLOW, NEON GREEN, OR ORANGE shirts are allowed on the field. Those are ref colors.
Please respect your neighbors, and keep any music or noise to a tolerable level. No noise (including generators) or bright lights will be allowed after 2200 (10:00 PM) in the campsites.
DO NOT go into ANY CAMPSITE other than your own, unless someone is there, and you are invited. Theft will not be tolerated in any way, shape, or form. You WILL BE ARRESTED if you break the law. Camp security will be tight. There will be law enforcement on duty at all times.
ONCE AGAIN- NO FIREARMS, WEAPONS, OR KNIVES (other than pocket knives) ARE ALLOWED ON THE PREMISES AT ANY TIME. Cooking knives are allowed in your CAMPSITE FOR COOKING PURPOSES ONLY. Do not wear a sheath knife around the camping/vending area for any reason please.
Camp fires will be permitted only if a fire ring is used. There will be a lot of dead wood on the grounds, but it burns fast, and we recommend bringing some charcoal, and or some greener wood. There will be no cutting down of live trees!
Camping is allowed starting Thursday night until Monday morning. Here are some camping rules and guidelines:
If you have any questions, see the camp and vendor support staff. If any incident occurs, including theft, fights, or injuries, please let ANY staff know immediately so we can handle it efficiently.
PETS:
As much as we would like, there will be no pets allowed at the game, even in the campsites, unless they are leashed or penned. It's going to be hot, please leave your animals home where they have access to shade, water, and fewer temptations to get into trouble.
WHERE DO I CAMP?
Each unit (Warsaw & NATO) has been assigned a camping area which helps each respective commander with accountability of players. TRY YOUR BEST TO CAMP WITH YOUR UNIT. If you wish to bring an RV or camping trailer please see the camping coordinator for a nice level spot before you drive into the camping area too far.
